The Long Dark Road

It has been said that advertising is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Conversely, it is as frustrating as trying to play billards using a foam pool noodle as a cue. After hours spent twisting and grinding your brain to the point of hemorraging you rarely have anything to show for it. All you have is an idea. Most of the time that idea only makes sense to you. And then upon further review you discover it is one of the worst ideas you have ever heard. You start over. Many more atrocious ideas run up to you and pull at your pantleg. But you have to continue to wade through them to get to anything worth considering. You can't get lazy and lean down to pick up just any creature of an idea. These gremlins are a dime a dozen. You have to wait. You have to wait for the idea that all the other gremlins are afraid of. A creature that looks like nothing anyone has ever seen before. This idea avoids other living creatures like the plague. You have to chase it, it might run up a tree. Coax it down and promise you'll take care of it. This is your gizmo. But you have to be careful with how you treat it. If not properly cared for it'll just turn into another gremlin.
